Hygiene isn't just about washing things. It's also about creating and maintaining the environment that best supports health.

In this case, your sleep hygiene is about how you create a healthy sleep atmosphere. You do this by having a regular bedtime and a regular sleep routine. You also create the best possible surroundings for sleeping. It's a bit more than having a good pillow, but that's a start.

It's also about modifying the behaviors that interfere with sleep, you probably already know that you should avoid caffeine too close to bedtime, and that you should aim for 7 - 9 hours of sleep. But did you know that exercising in the evening is also keeping you awake? So is watching a screen, any screen.
